In the 70's I worked on an Algol 68 compiler.  The source code, as of
1974, is available here:
<a href="http://hendrik.pooq.com/a68h1"> a68h </a>  Don't expect this
to work; it is an intermediate development snapshot.  But it is the
version I can still recover from the archives.  PASS1's lexical
scanner has been damaged by a bad block on tape.

I have found a more recent, less damaged <a href="http://hendrik.pooq.com/a68h">snapshot</a>, as of 1978.
